Traditional Chashaku

This bamboo chashaku is an essential tool in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, used for measuring and preparing matcha tea. Chashaku are typically made from bamboo, with Nigatake—particularly Sarashitake bamboo—being the most commonly used due to its fine texture and strength.

Each piece is handcrafted in Kyoto, Japan by Ishiwaki Tutsuname, following traditional methods that emphasize both function and elegance.
